Helping Families Rebuild and Restore Dignity After Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica
When Hurricane Melissa 2025 struck Jamaica, communities were left without homes, electricity, and basic supplies. Families are now working to recover from the severe damage caused along the hurricane’s path.
At The Undie Chest, we believe that dignity is essential to healing.
In partnership with Miya’s Foundation, we’re sending new underwear and hygiene items to families affected by Hurricane Melissa. These small essentials help people feel cared for and supported during recovery.
How Donations Help
Our goal is to raise $1,500 to cover shipping costs for relief supplies traveling from the United States to Jamaica, by November 30, 2025.
Your donation supports the cost of packaging, transportation, and distribution through Miya’s Foundation, ensuring that every item reaches the families who need it most.
Even a small contribution helps send clean underwear, hygiene products, and other comfort items that restore a sense of normal life after a disaster.
Please donate by November 30 so we can ship all boxes before the team departs.
Why Essentials Matter After Hurricane Melissa
During disaster relief, items like food and shelter often receive the most attention.
Personal essentials such as underwear and hygiene products are just as important, but often overlooked.
Without them, families face additional stress at a time when they’re already trying to rebuild.
Providing these essentials is a simple but powerful way to help families recover with comfort and self-respect.
How to Support the Relief Effort
Our goal is to raise $1,500 to cover shipping costs for relief supplies traveling from the United States to Jamaica.
Each box includes about 200 pairs of new underwear, socks, and bras, providing comfort and care to families affected by Hurricane Melissa. A $50 donation helps ship one full box of dignity essentials to support ongoing recovery efforts.
Any contribution toward this amount helps us deliver more essentials to people in Jamaica.
