Together, We’ve Made an Impact—and We’re Just Getting Started

TogetherTuesday

At The Undie Chest, we believe impact is rarely created by a single person or organization working alone. It happens when donors, schools, nonprofit partners, retailers, volunteers, and community members each step forward and do what they can.

Because of supporters like you, we have already made a meaningful impact in 2026.

Look What You Have Helped Make Possible

So far this year, The Undie Chest has donated 7,932 pounds of new underwear and clothing.

Our original goal for the year was 8,000 pounds, so we are now just 68 pounds away from reaching it.

Together, we have helped support:

  • Two Phoenix-area school districts serve approximately 24,000 students and their families

  • Eleven organizations supporting families experiencing homelessness, crisis, and other major transitions

Those numbers are exciting, but every number represents a person.

It may be a student who can walk into school feeling clean, comfortable, and ready to learn.

It may be a family entering temporary housing with one less essential item to worry about.

It may be a parent who can use limited resources for rent, food, transportation, and other urgent needs because underwear has already been provided.

That is the impact you helped make possible.

Creating Social and Environmental Impact

The impact of these donations reaches beyond the people receiving them.

By keeping usable underwear and clothing in circulation instead of sending them to a landfill, the environmental benefit of our work is comparable to recycling 30.8 tons of waste rather than landfilling it.

That is also equivalent to the emissions from driving an average gasoline-powered passenger vehicle more than 222,000 miles or consuming approximately 9,822 gallons of gasoline.

This is what makes our work so powerful.

We are helping provide essential items to people who need them while also supporting a more responsible and sustainable approach to product use and distribution.

What Comes Next: Back to School

Now, we are preparing to carry this momentum into one of our biggest efforts of the year: our annual Back-to-School Undie Drive.

Our 2026 goals are to:

  • Collect 5,000 pairs of new underwear and bras

  • Raise $10,000 to support students, schools, and the work behind every donation

Clean underwear may seem like a small thing, but for a student who does not have enough, it can affect confidence, comfort, attendance, and the ability to focus in the classroom.

Our Back-to-School Undie Drive helps ensure students have access to these essentials before they walk through the school doors.

Celebrating the School Heroes Behind the Mission

This year, our Back to School campaign will also shine a light on the teachers, school nurses, and other school professionals who go above and beyond every day to support our kids.

These school heroes are often the first to notice when a student needs clean underwear, clothing, hygiene products, or a little extra care.

They quietly step in. They find solutions. They help students feel seen, supported, and ready to learn.

Throughout August, we will share their stories and celebrate the difference they make for students and families every day.

We know that The Undie Chest could not do this work without the people who are truly the boots on the ground in our schools and communities. Our role is to help ensure they have the resources students need when they come to them for help.

Help Us Continue the Impact

This #TogetherTuesday, we are not simply asking you to give.

We are inviting you to continue the impact you have already helped create.

Your donation will help us prepare for the Back to School Undie Drive, purchase the sizes schools need most, organize and store donations, and get essential undergarments into the hands of students and families.

Thank you for believing that something as basic as clean underwear can create comfort, confidence, and dignity.

Together, we have already accomplished so much—and with your continued support, we can carry this impact into the new school year and reach even more students and families.

Dignity starts with feeling good undie-neath.

The Undie Chest is a nonprofit that aims to restore dignity, foster healthier communities, and reduce our environmental impact through underwear donations.

Access to proper hygiene promotes confidence, self-esteem, and security, which is essential for individuals to break the poverty cycle and achieve success within their community.
