What Is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday began in 2012 with a simple idea: dedicate one day each year to giving back. It was created as a counterbalance to the shopping rush of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, reminding us that community and care matter as much as what we buy.
Over time, it’s grown into a global movement that now reaches more than 90 countries. On this day, individuals, families, and organizations support causes that make life better for others.

For many families in the U.S., clean underwear isn’t guaranteed. One in three households struggles to afford basic hygiene products, and underwear is still the most requested, least donated item in shelters.
Without it, children miss school. Adults skip work. Confidence fades.
That’s why this Giving Tuesday, The Undie Chest is turning one day into something simple and meaningful. A day for dignity.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 in 24 hours to provide new underwear for children and adults across the country, while also covering the storage, shipping, and coordination that make every delivery possible.
